Lightfoot, John, s. Stephen, of Newent, co. Gloucester, gent. Pembroke Coll., matric. 26 March, 1753, aged 17; B.A. 1756, M.A. 1766, a botanist, F.R.S, F.L.S., rector of Shalden, Hants, 1765, and of Gotham and Sutton, Notts, and vicar of Sutton-upon-Lound with Scrooby, Notts, 1777, until his death 20 Feb., 1788.
