Osborne, Francis Godolphin (Marquis of Carmarthen), o.s. Thomas, Duke of Leeds. Christ Church, matric. 11 June, 1767; created M.A. 30 March, 1769, & D.C.L. 7 July, 1773, 5th duke, M.P. Eye 1774, Helston 1774-5, had summons to parliament as Baron Osborne 15 May, 1776, lord of the bed-chamber 1776, home secretary 1783-9, died 31 Jan., 1799. See Foster's Peerage.
