Wadham Coll., matric. 30 June, 1777, aged 15, scholar 1780-5, B.A. 1782; fellow Balliol Coll. 1785, M.A. 1785, B. & D.D. 1799, master 1798-1819, vice-chancellor 1807-10, rector of All Saints' and St. Leonard's, Colchester, 1797-8, dean of Bristol 1810-13, bishop of Peterborough 1813, until his death 12 March, 1819.
