Popham, Edward William Leyborne, created D.C.L. 30 June, 1813, of Littlecote, Wilts, high sheriff 1839, lieut.-colonel Cambrian rangers and colonel in the army 1803, major-general 1810, lieut.-general 1814, and a general in the army 1837 (son of William Leyborne Leyborne, governor of Grenada, etc.), assumed the additional name of Popham, died 16 June, 1843.
