M.A. 1778, bar.-at-law, Middle Temple, 1779, bencher 1824, a commissioner of bankrupts 1780-91, F.S.A. 1789, F.R.S. 1790, chief justice Newfoundland 1791-2, superintendent of Aliens, law clerk to the Board of Trade, died 7 and buried in Temple Church 17 Aug., 1829.
