St. John's Coll., matric. 28 June, 1793, aged 16; scholar and fellow until 1828, B.C.L. 1807, D.C.L. 1812, Rawlinson professor of Anglo-Saxon 1817-22, vicar of Great Staughton, Hunts, 1822, and of Charlbury, Oxon, 1828, until his death 8 March, 1853.
