Townsend, Robert Lawrence, s. Robert Lawrence, of Shurdington, co. Gloucester, arm. Oriel Coll., matric. 10 April, 1783, aged 17, B.A. 1787, M.A. 1790; B. & D.D. from Worcester Coll. 1815, assumed the additional surname of Townsend, rector of Alderton, co. Gloucester, 1795, and of Bishop's Cleeve, Wilts, 1815, until his death in 1830.
