Tyrwhitt, Thomas, s. Robert, of St. James's, Westminster, doctor. Queen's Coll., matric. 9 May, 1747, aged 17, B.A. 1750; M.A. from Merton Coll. 1756, F.R.S., F.S.A., bar.-at-law. Middle Temple, 1755, a curator of the British Museum, under-secretary War department 1756, clerk House of Commons 1762-8, died 15 August. 1786, annotator of Chaucer and Shakespeare.
