Westmacott, (Sir) Richard, created D.C.L. 15 June, 1836, R.A., F.S.A., professor of sculpture 1827, A.R.A. 1805, R.A. 1815, knighted at St. James's Palace 19 July, 1837, died 1 Sept., 1856, his son Richard, R.A., F.R.S., succeeded him as professor of sculpture, and died 19 April 1872.
