Edgar Sheppard
(1819–1897)
M.D., promoter of the Turkish bath, and superintendent of the male division of the Colney Hatch Lunatic Asylum. Besides the works listed here, he translated medical works from the French, contributed to the Lancet, and appeared often in the columns of the Times with letters on aspects of insanity.
