Canadian-American (born Canadian) historical, adventure fantasy and science fiction writer. Designated by many as "The king of pulps;" his works appeared in a number of pulp magazines. Pen names: H. Bedford-Jones, Allan Hawkwood, Donald Bedford, Montague Brissard, Cleveland B. Chase, Paul Ferval, Michael Gallister, Gordon Keyne, M. Lassez, George Souli de Mourant, Lucian Pemjean, Margaret Love Sangerson, Charles George Souli, Gordon Stuart, Elliot Whitney, John Wycliffe.
