MRS. BEATRICE H. HART

Mrs. Neatrice Harrison Hart, Ph. D., wife of Henry W. Hart and a descendent of former President Benjamin Harrison and William Henry Harrison, and a few years ago was one of the foremost educators in Brooklyn, died Wednesday night at the home of her niece, Mrs. Charles H. Townsend, 52 North Twelfth street, Flushing,. She had been an invalid for almost four years.

Mrs. Hart ws born in Brooklyn, daughter of Gabriel Harrison, artist, author, dramatist, actor and manager and of Sarah Dabne Stephenson Harrison of New York of New York. She received her degree of doctor of pedagogy at the New York University. She was the author of several works on literature, one of her books being "Seven Great American Poets."

She was a charter member of the Century Theatre Club of Manhattan and its president for four years. She was one of the organisers of the Brooklyn Ethical Association of the Seldi Society of Brooklyn, and among the early members of the Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Science. For thirty years she was a member of the Second Unitarian Church of Brooklyn.
