C A Robertson was a teacher in Auckland in the late 1800s. He died in 1888 following a fall from a horse. The New Zealand Herald published a lengthy obituary which notes he was a Senior Warden of a Masonic Lodge. (Masons were frequent contributors of papers to the Institute)

"Mr C. A. Robertson of the Auckland Grammar School, followed by a well-written essay on "Education as a Science," which, we learn, will be followed by a second paper on the same subject." https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/newspapers/AS18780716.2.20
