There is a strong case that this is Charles Vincent Godby, born 1847, educated at Winchester and New College, Oxford; who went on to become a schoolmaster in w:Petersham, London.[1] This Godby played cricket at Oxford, as C. V. Godby. A C. V. Godby was a school head at Richmond, Surrey (near Petersham) in 1876.[2] Charles Vincent Godby in 1901 was a school head in Hampstead.[3] Charles Matthews (talk) 10:10, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
