Dr. Kheirallah, 79, Dies in Cambridge Services for Dr. George Ibrahim Kheirallah, 79, United States public relations minister to Saudi Arabia, noted author and authority on the Islamic religion, who died Sunday at his home, 1684 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, after a a brief illness, will be held today at 2 p.m. in the Eastman Funeral Home, 836 Beacon St. Dr. Kheirallah, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, had not practiced medicine for several years. A close friend of King Saud, he was instrumental, through direct negotiations with the king and American petroleum interests, in establishing the Arabian-American Oil Co. Born in Egypt, he came to the United States at the age of 17 and was one of the first surgeons on the staff of the famed Mayo Clinic. One of his most recent works, "Islam and the Arabian Prophet," published in 1952, has been referred to as the first in the English language to provide a clear yet concise version of Islam and its founder. Dr. Kheirallah leaves a wife, the former Mary Frances Welsh; a son, Ahmad of Phoenix, Ariz., physicist and graduate of Harvard and M.I.T., and a daughter, Mrs. Gulmar Bosch of Baton Rouge, La., teaches at the University cf Louisiana. - Interment will be in Mecca, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
