Hi! I'm a freelance literary translator and I plan to publish a part of Meredith's Woods of Westermain - that I have translated into German - on my Homepage. Who can tell me if that poem is now public domain or not? Do I have to hunt through the net and all libraries worldwide to find out how often and when it's been published and the copyright renewed?
