The Rev. John Milner, M.A., Rector of Middleton-on-Teesdale, in his 75th year. In 1875 he was appointed Chaplain-in-Ordinary to the Duke of Edinburgh. He was author of a brochure on the subject of tithes, and an account of the voyage and shipwreck of St. Paul, "done into modern nautical English, with notes on seamanship," &c.
