Identification edit

I believe this Scott is also known as a tractor pioneer, as here. He may have been at Cirencester 1882 to 1889 (in some position). Also presumably this guy. Charles Matthews (talk) 20:27, 13 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

"Mr. John Scott, of North Saint Andrew Street, Edinburgh (formerly Professor of Agriculture and Rural Economy at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester), who has been conducting a spirited contest on motor farming" [...]. World's Work and Play - Volume 3 - Page 493 (1904) according to a Google Books snippet from [1]. So the tractor pioneer is our man. He somewhat disappears off the agricultural machinery map after 1906, though, according to various sources. Charles Matthews (talk) 21:02, 13 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Charles Matthews: the Times obit talks about patents on agricultural equipment. Seems that the WP has the article. — billinghurst sDrewth 06:49, 16 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
and you did it, so I am guessing that you know. — billinghurst sDrewth 06:51, 16 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Yes, thanks, I eventually assembled bits of his rather various career. Charles Matthews (talk) 06:54, 16 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
