Only one likely birth if the 1848 is correct with a baptism in London in 1849. Douglas is not alive in 1939 in England or Wales (not showing in the 1939 register); and there is no probate in the Calendar of Grants (Eng. & Wales). Deaths in UK 1910s and 1920s don't give middle name, just middle initial, so cannot be definitive about much there, and there is nothing evident in the 1900 or 1910 census. There is someone living in Surrey with that name in 1920s according to electoral rolls, though their detail is pretty scant.
