"WHEN THE ARMADA SAILED FROM SPAIN"

"God blew with His winds, and they were scattered."—Medal struck to commemorate defeat of the Armada.

When the Armada sailed from Spain,
And launched its might upon the main,
Bold Drake put out from Plymouth Hoe,
And God's great wind began to blow
And it was scattered;
Well, what was then, brave boys,
Will be again, brave, bully boys.
Aye What was then will be again!

When Wellington with his brave few
Met Buonaparte at Waterloo,
The British bayonets drove Nap, back
To St. Helena's lonely rack,
Broken and battered;
Our steel's as true, brave boys,
Our blood's as blue, brave, bully boys,
And Britain trusts to me and you!
