LOVER’S FEELINGS.
FAIN I’d be thy wishes’ shadow!
In thy hands a ball I’d be!
Thou can’st give me life or take it,
And thy word is heaven’s key.
For commands thy bondman waiting
Nothing but thine eyes doth know,
And thy ev’ry movement scares him—
What would then thine anger do?
