Here many of the illustrious sons of England have been buried, as Thackeray, Leigh Hunt, Sydney Smith, Buckle, Sir Charles Eastlake, John Leech, Sir John Ross, Brunel, Mulready, Kemble, Dibdin, Tom Hood, Balfe, Liston, Charles Mathews, Madame Vestris, Tietjens, Wilkie Collins, the Duke of Sussex, and his sister, the Princess Sophia.
