Executive Order 717
The persons named in the list of employees of the technologic branch of the Geological Survey, submitted to the Civil Service Commission by the Interior Department under date of November 22, 1907, may be given all the rights which they would have acquired if appointed thereto upon examination under the civil-service rules except that they shall not be transferred to positions outside of that branch.
