Whereas many of the inhabitants of the barrios of Macapso, Vallehermoso, and Tabon and of the sitio of Poan, of the municipality of Gihulngan, Province of Oriental Negros, have petitioned that the said barrios and sitio be separated from the said municipality and organized into an independent municipality and have promised to construct a municipal building for said new municipality:
Now, therefore, provisions of Act Numbered Seventeen hundred and forty-eight, entitled “An Act authorizing the adjustment of provincial and municipal boundaries and authorizing the change of capitals of provinces and subprovinces, as may be necessary from time to time to serve the public convenience and interest,” the twenty municipalities of the Province of Oriental Negros as established by Act Numbered Seven hundred and fifteen, as amended by Act Numbered Sixteen hundred and four, and Executive Orders Numbered Thirty-seven, series of nineteen hundred and eight, One hundred and twenty-three, series of nineteen hundred and nine, and Seventy-five, series of nineteen hundred and ten are hereby increased to twenty by separating the barrios of Macapso, Vallehermoso, and Tabon and the sitio of Poan from the municipality of Gihulngan, and organizing them into an independent municipality under the name of Vallehermoso.
The municipality of Gihulngan shall consist of its present territory less the territory comprised in the barrios of Macapso, Vallehermoso, and Tabon and in the sitio of Poan. The municipality of Vallehermoso is hereby organized and shall consist of the barrios of Macapso, Vallehermoso, and Tabon and of the sitio of Poan: Provided, That the seat of municipal government of Vallehermoso shall be in the barrio of Vallehermoso.
The organization herein made shall be effective January first, nineteen hundred and thirteen.
