English: These are the first two portions of what would eventually become The Dain Curse. These portions of the story entered the American public domain on January 1, 2024 with the expiration of all published works from 1928. While they were later collected in a larger novel, their existence as published serialized stories from 1928 supersedes the later collection.
The final 2 sections, along with the whole novel, will become public domain in the United States in 2025.
