Grimm Tales Made Gay  (1902)
by Guy Wetmore Carryl

This anthology of Carryl’s humorous light verse was published in October 1902 by Houghton, Mifflin & Co., Boston and New York. The volume was illustrated with drawings by Albert Levering. The book was dedicated “To Charles Walton Ogden”. The author included this foreword:

I have pleasure in acknowledging the courteous permission of the editors to reprint in this form such of these verses as were originally published in Harper’s Magazine, The Century, Life, The Smart Set, The Saturday Evening Post, The Home Magazine, and The London Tattler.
G. W. C.

The poems are parodies of Grimm's Fairy Tales.

This work was published before January 1, 1926, and is in the public domain worldwide because the author died at least 100 years ago.
