DJVU apparently missing 4 pages

Four pages are apparently missing in the DJVU file: 2 image plates and 2 corresponding blank rear-pages. Since the illustrations are not part of the numbered pages, and do not make any difference to the story proper (I’ve proofed all the pages up to and around these just to make sure), I wonder if it is okay to just ignore the problem and go ahead with the proofing. And, for all that I can make out, the illustrations may have been missing in the original book itself. How does one check for missing plates non-numbered pages?
