Scans for photographs
editAs with most works from archive.org, the scans displayed at the site are superior to those included with the DJVU. For this work, I am also considering the scans for https://archive.org/details/farmersoffortyce01king , although the photograph appearing on page 25 of the edition I am working with seems to be missing there. I use the link above when I can, but it seems much more focused as far as photography is concerned, and a significant number of the photographs from the edition I am transcribing are missing there. The photographer didn't seem to care for leveling the horizon in many cases. The editor for the edition in the link above leveled the horizon in some cases which I think improves things. The leveling problem can perhaps be attributed to the photographs being taken from the decks of boats or the backs of animals. Bob Burkhardt (talk) 18:27, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
