For Images a different source would be Internet Archive identifier: posthumouspapers01dickrich, Internet Archive identifier: posthumouspapers02dickrich, and Internet Archive identifier: posthumouspapers00dickiala Languageseeker (talk) 16:51, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Also, the plates are unique to this edition. Languageseeker (talk) 18:20, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Languageseeker: I used this scan because it's the one referred to in the header at Pickwick Papers. I uncritically accepted that it's the edition that was used for the Gutenburg transcription on which that is based. Are those other ones better scans of the same edition? Or are they scans of a different edition? Maybe the header notes could use a little clarification? I'll stop working on this until I have a better idea what's going on...sorry if I messed something up. -Pete (talk) 20:18, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Peteforsyth: Not at all. You actually uploaded the coolest version of the this publication. The only version that has both the plate facing 576 and 590. However, I would caution against match-and-split with PG files because they tend to introduce errors that are far more subtle to catch than OCR errors. Thanks for working on this.
