Missing pages edit

The TOC cuts off half way through at p. vii, when WorldCat says it goes up to p. x (cf. other volumes, where the roman numeral given is generally the last TOC page and the highest with roman numerals) and instead the frontispiece is repeated (looks to be a rescan, but the pattern of marks on subsequent blank pages makes it look like a scanning error rather than the book having the wrong pages). No other scanned copies seem to be available, but if someone gets around to adding them, they could also remove the initial Google page. --xensyriaT 17:50, 19 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

The original Google Books linked from bottom of the IA page (SEE HERE) has the missing pages. I'll get around to fixing/replacing the source file hopefully by the end of the weekend.

Are we sure that's the only structure issue with this source file? -- George Orwell III (talk) 02:08, 23 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! I've gone through the numbered pages, and all are there and in the right order (though it would be great if there's a better scan of p. 168); the problems all seem to be in the first few pages. The other three volumes have the cover (though Volume 1 was rebound), inside front cover, then two blank pages (or four in the case of the first volume) followed by a bastard title, a quote on its verso, one more blank (i.), the frontispiece (ii.), the title (iii.), colophon (iv.) and then contents from v. onwards (vi. being the first page with the roman numeral printed on the page). This file seems to have most of the right pages, apart from the end of the contents, but the early ones (before Page:The Prose Works of Percy Bysshe Shelley (Volume 3).djvu/20) are arranged in the wrong order and sometimes duplicated. --xensyriaT 11:37, 23 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
  Done
and as a side note, you should probably add any notes you've made on the talk pages of individual Page:s in the Page: namespace on this Index's talk page as well. Not may folks pay attention to the individual page's talk space in my expierence. -- George Orwell III (talk) 03:23, 27 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, that'll do nicely. Strangely the Google book page linked to in IA still isn't working for me (and actually displays a modern-looking cover). And thanks for the advice about the Page: talk page too; I'd only used it because it seemed so trivial to list here, but I'll bear that in mind in future. --xensyriaT 22:18, 28 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
