File content edit

There were problems with the original scan of this work on IA in that the page numbering in the work appeared to be poor. I checked the contents against the ToC and all of the works listed were present, and the page numbers in the ToC align with the numbering of the pages. I also checked the individual poems for completeness against a different edition of Blake's works and all are complete.

I amended the file by moving two illustration pages, as they seemed to have been misplaced with respect to the works they illustrate. I verified the one associated with the introduction from a double page scan from a copy of the work for sale at https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/william-blake-songs-experience-illus-481444286, and the second by a description of the scene in one of the poems. Also, recto and verso pages can be determined by, among other things, lighting effects.

I also inserted a couple of blank pages to make the page numbering flow correctly. The work is now as complete as I can make it, but there remains the possibility that an illustrated page is missing. In the absence of a list of illustrations, and having failed to find a different scan of this work elsewhere, I can't confirm this.

Duplicate works edit

Several of the poems in the book are present twice, once in handwritten form as part of an illustration, then in type. Where this is the case, only the version in type has been transcribed, the 'illustration' version has been included as an image. Chrisguise (talk) 08:26, 2 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
