Libbie Scholten

Private funeral services have been held for Libbie B. Scholten, 88, Missoula, who died April 13 in Missoula. Mrs. Scholten, daughter of Dr. Charles H. Brueuer and Barbara Hulla Bruer, was born in Chicago on Oct. 17, 1890. She was graduated from the University of Texas in 1912, and taught schools in Texas, Lincoln, Neb., and in California. She was maried to the late Harry C. Scholten. He died Aug. 4, 1978.

Mrs. Scholten, a former resident of Gilroy, Calif., and San Jose, Calif., prior to moving to Missoula in 1971, belonged to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Eastern Star of Gilroy, Calif., and Chapter 2, PEO, in Missoula.

Survivors include two nieces, Dr. Rosalie Neligh, Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Dr. Mildred Dale, Encino, Calif., and a cousin, Dr. Grover Hulla, Missoula.

Her body was cremated. Squire, Simmons & Carr Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
