SOMETHING has kept us apart
And has flowed between us twain —

And we have been kept apart.
But now all will be well!
The immortal gods have spoken!
Fate moves at last with the long-drawn swell
Of the sea; and the charm is broken.
Out of the magical night,
Full of shadows and whispering streams;
Out of the hollow, holy night
Where fade all passing dreams,
We meet and all is well.
And the eyelids of sorrow, the lips of delight
Are bathed in lethe-drenched moonlight,
In oblivious, infinite moonlight,
In the deep mandragora of the night;
And we meet — and all is well.
