Archibald, William Frederick Alphonse, M.A. (late Fereday fellow) St. John's Coll., Oxon, associate Institute of Civil Engineers, a member of the South-eastern circuit, a student of the Inner Temple 15 Dec, 1871, called to the bar 17 Nov., 1874, author of The Country Solicitor's Practice and Forms of Summonses and Orders (eldest surviving son of late Sir Thomas Dickson Archibald, a judge of common pleas 1875-6); born 17 May, 1846; married 9 Jan., 1873, Florence, 2nd dau. of late Charles Wallroth, Esq., of Blackheath.
