Atkinson-Clark, George Dixon, B.A., Univ. Coll., Oxon, 1858, from the Charterhouse, high sheriff Northumberland 1883, J.P., D.L., private secretary to the governor of Prince Edward Island 1861, assumed the additional surname of Clark in 1872, a student of Lincoln's Inn 19 Nov., 1857 (then aged 20), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1860 (eldest son of Rev. William Atkinson-Clark, rector of Gateshead Fell, co. Durham, hon. canon of Durham); born 10 Dec., 1836; married 28 Nov., 1874, Mary Caroline, youngest dau. of Hon. Henry Amelius Coventry, and has issue (see Foster's Peerage).
