Coll., Camb., B.A., 8th wrangler 1835, M.A. 1838, hon. LL.D. Edinburgh 1870, a student of Lincoln's Inn 20 April, 1835 (then aged 21), went to the Inner Temple 7 and called to the bar there 23 Nov., 1838, an honorary bencher 13 April, 1877 (2nd son of John Blackburn, Esq., of Killearn, co. Stirling, N.B.); born 18 May, 1813 (see Foster's Peerage).
