Browne, George Lathom, S.C.L., St. John's Coll., Oxon, 1838, 2nd class classics and also mathematics, sometime a revising barrister on the Norfolk circuit (1866) and on the Midland circuit, joint author of Reports of Trials for Murder by Poisoning, author of Parliamentary and Municipal Registration Act 1878, etc., a student of the Middle Temple 21 Oct., 1834, called to the bar 11 June, 1841 (3rd son of William Browne, of Lloyd's coffee house, London, gentleman); born 5 Nov., 1815; married 23 April, 1848, Maria Christian, 2nd dau. of Capt. John Forbes, R.N., then of Winkfield Place, Berks, one of the survivors of the battle of the Nile, and has issue.
