Craufurd, Edward Henry John, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1844, B.A. 1841 (scholar, senior optime), M.P. Ayr 1852-74, senior counsel for the Mint for Middlesex and London, a member of the South-eastern circuit, J.P., D.L. Ayrshire and Buteshire, a student of the Inner Temple 2 Nov., 1837 (aged 20), where he was called to the bar 21 Nov., 1845, admitted a barrister of the Middle Temple ad eundem 10 April, 1854 (eldest son of John Craufurd, Esq., of Auchenames, N.B.); born 9 Dec., 1816; married 6 Oct., 1863, Frances, half-sister of Sir Paul William Molesworth, tenth bart., and has issue (see Foster's Baronetage).
