Cunynghame, Henry Hardinge Samuel, B.A. St. John's Coll., Camb. (MacMahon law student 1878), educated at Royal Military Coll. Woolwich, obtained the sword of merit and Pollock medal, late lieut. R.E., royal commissioner to British Guiana 1882, assistant charity commissioner 1884, author of The Law of Electric Lighting 1883, a student of the Inner Temple 15 Nov., 1871 (then aged 22), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1875 (eldest son of late Lt.-Gen. Sir Arthur Thurlow Cunynghame, of Mount Dillon, co. Dublin); born 8 July, 1848 (see Foster's Baronetage).
