Griffiths, John Harward, B.C.L., Univ. Coll., Oxon, 1848, S.C.L. 1844, late hon. major Herefordshire militia, D.L. Hereford city, J.P. Herefordshire (high sheriff 1877) and Staffordshire, a student of Lincoln's Inn 24 Jan., 1843 (then aged 20), called to the bar 5 May, 1848 (eldest son of John Griffiths, Esq., of the Weir, co. Hereford); born , 1822; married 2 April, 1872, Hon. Emily Wingfield, widow of Thomas Guy Osborne, Esq., of Yoxall Lodge, co. Stafford, dau. of Frederick, 13th Lord Saye and Sele (see Foster's Peerage).
