Hickin, William, J.P. co. Stafford, went the Oxford circuit, a student of the Middle Temple 1 Nov., 1844, called to the bar 16 June, 1848 (only son of Rev. William Hickin, B.A., late vicar of Ellenhall co. Stafford); born 18 June, 1825; married 24 May, 1849, Jane, youngest dau. of late Edward Whitby, Esq., of Osbaston Lodge, co. Leicester, she died 9 Feb., 1882, leaving issue.
