Lane, Wilmot, commissioner of revenue and circuit Meerut division E.I.C.S., a student of the Middle Temple 19 Nov., 1866, called to the bar 6 June, 1868 (4th son of Richard Lane, Esq., of Brighton); born 19 Sept., 1833; married 1st, 17 Oct., 1854, Louisa Anne, eldest dau. and co-heir of Charles Patten Vale, Esq.; she died 26 Sept., 1855; he married 2ndly, 16 Dec., 1862, Martha, eldest dau. of late Lt.-Col. Henry Roche Osborne, of the Bengal army.
