Leveson-Gower, Hon. Edward Frederick, M.P. Bodmin since 1859, Derby June to Aug., 1848, Stoke-upon-Trent 1852-7, M.A., Christ Church, Oxon, 1844, from Eton, précis writer in the Foreign Office 1851-2, attached to Earl Granville's special mission to Russia 1856, J.P. D.L. Surrey, D.L. co. Derby, a student of the Inner Temple 19 Nov., 1840 (then aged 21), called to the bar 21 Nov., 1845 (2nd son of Granville George, 1st earl of Granville, G.C.B.); born 3 May, 1819; married 1 June, 1853, Lady Margaret Frances Mary Elizabeth Compton, dau. of Spencer Alwyne, 2nd marquis of Northampton; she died 22 May, 1858, leaving a son.
