Coll., London, a student of Lincoln's Inn 24 Nov., 1831 (then aged 21), called to the bar 22 Nov., 1836 (2nd son of James Lonsdale, of London, artist); born 5 April, 1810; married 1st, 1 Jan., 1853, Jessica Matilda, widow of Dr. Herbert Mayo, F.R.S., only dau. of late Samuel James Arnold, Esq., of Orchard House, Walton-on-Thames; she died July, 1866; he married 2ndly, Aug., 1878, Prudentia Sarah Jefferson, widow of Thomas James Arnold, Esq., a metropolitan police magistrate, only child of late T. Jefferson Hogg, Esq., of Norton House, Stockton-on-Tees.
