Methuen, Rev. Thomas Plumptre, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1839, a student of Lincoln's Inn 4 Nov., 1836 (then aged 22), called to the bar 30 Jan., 1840 (eldest son of Rev. Thomas Anthony Methuen, rector of All Cannings, Wilts, dec.); born 14 Aug., 1814; married 17 June, 1840, Matilda Gertrude, elder dau. and co-heir of Lord Edward O'Brien (3rd son of Murrough, Marquis of Thomond), and has issue (see Foster's Peerage, B. Methuen).
