Penfold-Wyatt, Hugh, LL.D. (fellow), Trin. Hall, Camb., 1841, recorder of Seaford since 1862, high sheriff Sussex 1884, J.P., D.L., a member of the South-eastern circuit, assumed the additional surname of Wyatt, author of Thoughts on University Education, a student of the Inner Temple 3 June, 1834 (then aged 20), called to the bar 7 June, 1837 (eldest son of Hugh Penfold, of Cissbury, Sussex, gent.); born 9 July, 1813; married 16 May, 1855, Sarah Jane Emily, dau. of Admiral Hargood, of Worthing, Sussex.
