Coll., Camb., 1875, a member of the North-eastern circuit, assumed the additional final surname of Preston by royal licence 1883, a student of the Inner Temple 16 April, 1872 (then aged 23), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1875 (2nd son of Col. Sir George Houstoun-Boswall, of Blackadder, co. Berwick); born 11 April 1849 (see Foster's Baronetage).
