Dr. Raffles, a student of the Inner Temple 7 May, 1836 (then aged 17), called to the bar 19 Nov., 1841 (eldest son of Rev. Thomas Raffles, D.D., of Liverpool); born 18 Sept., 1818; married 20 Sept, 1849, Maria, eldest surviving dau. of late Edward Cearns, Esq., of Liverpool, and has issue.
