Roberts, Owen, F.S.A., M.A. Jesus Coll., Oxon, sometime scholar, a member of the North Wales and Chester circuit, clerk to the Worshipful Company of Clothworkers London, on the permanent staff of the War Office at headquarters 1859-66, a student of the Inner Temple 3 Nov., 1862 (then aged 27), called to the bar 9 June, 1865 (eldest son of late Owen Roberts, Esq., of Dinas, co. Carnarvon); born 7 April, 1835; married 1st, 5 Dec., 1867, Jane Margaret, 3rd dau. of Rowland Stagg, Esq., of River House, Stoke Newington; she died 18 Oct., 1869; he married 2ndly, 23 Nov., 1872, Mary Ann, 2nd dau. of Richard Porter, Esq., of London; she died 14 Feb., 1879; he married 3rdly, 11 Aug., 1881, Louisa, eldest dau. of John Chadwick, Esq., J.P., D.L., of Woodville, near Stockport.
