Scotland, late capt. 48th Middlesex rifle volunteers, educated at Glasgow Univ., editor of Antiquary 1869-70, author of Summary of Moral Evidences, Celticism, a Myth, etc., a student of the Middle Temple 28 April, 1868, called to the bar 26 Jan., 1871 (2nd son of late Charles Roger, of Dundee, N.B., merchant); born , ; married 29 April, 1848, Margaret Chalmers, youngest dau. of Francis Neilson, of Glasgow, physician; she died 15 Aug., 1861.
